This product is a Profibus DP protocol type fieldbus redundant link module, which realizes the conversion between a single bus (M port) and dual redundant buses (A, B ports). It can convert a single cable bus to a redundant Profibus DP bus or a redundant Profibus DP bus to a single cable bus. The data received from port M is broadcasted to ports A and B, but the data from ports A or B is forwarded to port M on a first come selection basis, thereby establishing only one working path at the same time. The device monitors the communication status in real-time. When the receiver of the working port detects a bus fault, it switches to the redundant port, and vice versa. The device supports setting fixed or adaptive rates with a dial switch, and supports 10 commonly used rates on the Profibus DP bus.
