I/A Series system features

The SYSTEM consists of PROCESS CONTROL STATIONS, PROCESS OPERATION STATIONS, and ENGINEER WORKSTATIONS/APPLICATION COMPUTING PROCESSING stations, INFORMATION management stations, and COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS.

(1) Process control station

The process Control station of I/A Series is called Control Processer (CP).

CP itself is a multiprocessor system consisting of:

Network communication processor

I/O bus communication processor

Control processing machine

The CONTROL PROCESSOR DETECTS and/OR ISOLATES FAULTS USING three types OF DIAGNOSTIC TEST procedures: POWER-ON SELF-TEST, RUNTIME and MONITOR CLOCK CHECK, AND OFFLINE DIAGNOSIS. Considering the requirement of process reliability, this system is equipped with CP40B.

The control processor is connected to various fieldbus components (FBMS) via fieldbus, that is, I/O cards.

The fieldbus connects CP and FBM. Provides high-speed fault-tolerant communication, communication rate is 268.75 KBPS, communication protocol IEEE1118, using shielded twisted pair, the maximum distance is 1800 meters.

Analog fieldbus components (FBMS) are single-channel isolated, one-to-one A/D converters. Each channel uses electrical isolation and photoelectric isolation technology, I/O circuit uses overcurrent protection technology, without the use of fuses, improve the reliability of the system. Because of the reliable and long-distance fieldbus, users can place I/O cabinets to the field. Two shielded twisted pair cables can replace hundreds of thousands of expensive field wires of the same distance, such as temperature compensation wires. I/A Series also has the ability to add or subtract FBM cards online without any impact on the process.

(2) Engineer station and operation station

Engineer Station and Operating station The operating station uses SUN's 64-bit workstation. It supports industry standard communication protocols, such as TCP/IP and DECNET, and can be very convenient to connect with the factory information network.

I/A uses SPARC technology. X-window System as an operating platform, on the network, any computer running WINDOWS, its application program can be accessed from this computer or to another computer to run remotely, so as to reasonably use various resources on the network. X-windows systems, designed for networking from the start, have consistently supported industry-standard Ethernet. Several protocols such as TCP/IP, OSI, and DECNET are also supported for connectivity to large and small machines and networks. On the 50 series, you can also connect directly to the INTERNET.
